Diastemas are spaces between anterior teeth that usually touch. These can usually be treated in one of two ways. One is porcelain laminates, which involve a small amount of tooth reduction and having a lab fabricate them. They cost more but stay more lifelike looking for a longer time. The other is chair side bonding, which is done in one visit at less than half the cost and generally involves no tooth reduction or anesthesia (Novocain). |

I
performed chair side (immediate) bonding on the two lateral incisors and
porcelain laminates on the two central incisors (lab made). This entire case took two visits one week apart. Note the healthy gums and natural (non-chic let) shapes of the teeth. |

This
patient presented with an inadequate crown (cap) and numerous diastemas(spaces).I
placed crowns and laminates. |
This
patient presented with extreme tetracycline stains, crowns that failed to
match the existing shade of tooth, and multiple discolored restorations.
I placed 2 Crowns and numerous porcelain laminates . This was completed about 10 years ago. The opaques and porcelains available now are far superior. The treatment was completed in two long visits, one week apart. |

This patient presented with rampant caries (decay) throughout his mouth due to severe gastrointestinal problems. He was regurgitating stomach acid and eating sweets as his main source of nutrition. Within one week I placed a temporary removable prosthesis that he could use just to get him through the holidays! I performed endodontic therapy on many teeth. Cast gold and other style posts were then placed before inserting mandibular and maxillary full arch fixed temporary bridges. Periodontal surgery was completed; after healing for six months, the final crowns and 3 laminates were placed. None of this work is removable. This patient eats steak, apples, corn and anything he wants now. He can also smile! His gastrointestinal problem is under control. The work was done more than five years ago and still looks like the day it was done. |
